Just picked up a DoorDash order from 1st Base BBQ and had one of those small moments that reminds you why local spots matter.
The owner handed me a sample of their bbq tips, and wow… absolutely fantastic. Tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. You can tell right away this is the kind of BBQ that’s made with pride and patience, not rushed.
What really stood out though was the hospitality. Even while running a busy kitchen, they took a moment to share a taste and a smile. That kind of generosity says a lot about a place.If the beef tips are any indication of the rest of their menu, 1st Base BBQ is definitely a place worth stopping at. Great food, great people, and the kind of small-town BBQ spirit that’s getting harder to find these days.
Highly recommend giving them a try. I know I’ll be back. 🔥🥩

Best damn BBQ north of Kansas city. I swear. Ribs fell off the bone. Meat was super tender and juicy. And the sauce.... just come down and try it yourself. You wont be disappointed. Chicken. Wings. And fixins to go with it. Everything was great!

So I saved this location in my "want to go" and finally had a chance to stop by. I ordered a platter with a "lil bit of errythng", I almost went bk in to order more rib tips, everything was on point, appreciate it...blessings 🙏🏽
